Where we are now?
It has been about four years since we have know
Broken Yoke. We really never see them anymore because we're so busy, but someday hopefully that can change. In
the next few years, Grace and I are going our separate ways. She is going to ORU, and I am going to IWU, I think.
Whatever happens, I know we'll always have a special place for BY in our hearts as we grow and mature in the Lord.
Broken Yoke is an awesome band, with a heart for the Lord, that will go very
far, and I have complete faith in their God-given abilities.
How we became fans?
I have been a fan of broken yoke since June 1st, 2001 which isn`t very long.... Well I`ve never listen to yes fm and I have
never heard of it although I went to a Christian School for 10 years of my life you think I would know it. Grace had told
me about it a couple of times I always thought that if it was Christian music it`s not good music I was so wrong and I wish
I could take that back.
It was my confirmation day and I invited Grace to come over and hang out. My cousin was telling
me about this concert in Holgate and so I thought I should just go. Grace told me to start listening to yes fm that day so
I did and I didn`t know like any songs. So I`ve heard of Sanctus Real before the concert but not BY.
It was the day of
the concert and it was rainy and cold and I wanted to go home but I didn`t. I met up with some friends there and they were
telling me about Broken Yoke so I thought they must be good so I decided to watch them. I loved them so much it was the first
day of summer and I have never felt so lifted from everything in my life. I was always a christian but not as close as I am
now. A week later Grace came over on June 8th and we decided to vote for BY on yes fm. We kinda thought the countdown worked
differently than it really does. A week later after we started voting they were on the countdown (June 15th)so for than on
we have tried to vote for them everyday. When they reached number on for the first time we realized, that God, has given them
so many talents and the Holy Spirit is working through them to reach people.
Stacey
I have been a fan as long as Stacey so most of the stuff I don`t have to repeat. I actually have heard BY on the radio a couple
of times but never really payed attention. We always go to concerts together. It so much fun just to praise God I love it
so much! Recently we just met the BYG`s they are really cool ppls. It kinda weird how we met them but it cool that we know
the official groupies! They are huge fans of BY and love them with all their hearts.
Stacey and me have only been to
4 concerts which isn`t that many I know! We hope to go to a lot more soon.
